Welcome to my World of Etsy

So, here I am. I took the plunge and opened my own Etsy shop.
Breathe Shannon Breathe!
Okay...so for those who have never heard of Etsy it’s an on-line store similar to Ebay but all items are handmade or vintage. It is not an auction like Ebay and no waiting for bidding to end - you see it, you like it, you buy it!
I have been busy making things to stock my shop – I only had 12 items made – then when I wasn't expecting it - cha-ching! I made my first sale - WOOHOO!
I originally named the shop Blue Apple Noteables but was advised to change the name as there were two other Blue Apple variations on Etsy. So after wracking my brain all week and getting input from others my name has officially been changed to ‘Sapphire Noteables’.
I know I added an 'e' in Noteables and made it a play on words. But 'Notables' to me sounds like it is noting  something - like all things sapphire - when actually there are no sapphires to be found. I sell notebooks and note cards. As far as Sapphires goes - they are considered  precious  – as are the photos kept in scrapbooks. Also it is my birthstone AND both my daughter and I had sapphires and diamonds in our wedding rings – so Sapphire has special meaning to me. Maybe people will spell it wrong to start with or not find it in search but  I'm hoping that eventually it may be the misspelling that makes them remember the name.
I am taking an on-line Etsy course right now as I want to get things right. I must say that this first week has been a struggle - between name changes and designing a banner - I hope it gets easier from now on.
Anyways I should be reading my lessons or creating more items (or cleaning the mess in my scraproom).
So, I'll be off for now and will update you as I add more items and (hopefully) make a sale or two.
